Crazy LED Eyelashes Designed to Brighten, Enlarge Eyes
When it comes to the extremes we’ll go to achieve someone’s arbitrary ideal of beauty, at least these light-up eyelashes aren’t permanent. We’re not sure if they’re meant to be facetious or an earnest effort to pander to Asian women who desire to make their eyes appear bigger and/or look like a refugee from a sci-fi Cosplay convention. We’ll admit to one cool touch, however: The LED lashes are equipped with inclination sensors that track movement, so you can turn the lashes on or off by tilting your head. Karl Rove gets confronted about the Valerie Plame identity leak
Giving a speech today at the American Enterprise Institute, Rove was confronted by David Corn of The Nation Magazine about the Valerie Plame identity leak.

CORN: David Corn from “The Nation Magazine” on a different subject. Scott McClellan told the White House press corps, many who are here today, that he had spoken to you and you were not involved in the CIA leak. Can you explain why the American public, almost two and a half years later, hasn’t been given an explanation and don’t you think it deserves one for that misinformation because it does seem you were to some degree, though maybe disputed, involved in that leak?
ROVE: My attorney Mr. Luskin made a statement on April 26th. I refer to you that statement. I have nothing more to add to it. Nice try, though.

28-year-old Ukrainian sentenced to 35 months for software piracy
28-year-old Ukrainian Maksym Vysochanskyy was sentenced last Monday in federal court in San Jose to 35 months of emprisonment for selling pirated software over the internet.
He was arrested in Thailand in 2003 and “after contested proceedings” was extradited in March 2004 to San Jose.
I wonder why he was not judged in his home country …
