28-year-old Ukrainian sentenced to 35 months for software piracy
28-year-old Ukrainian Maksym Vysochanskyy was sentenced last Monday in federal court in San Jose to 35 months of emprisonment for selling pirated software over the internet.
He was arrested in Thailand in 2003 and “after contested proceedings” was extradited in March 2004 to San Jose.
I wonder why he was not judged in his home country …
